P3/4 Term 2

3rd Apr 2023

Term 2 has been extremely busy and fun filled in P3/4. Our topic Toys was very enjoyable and  we loved looking at toys belonging to our parents and grandparents.

The snow provided lots of fun building snowmen. We used natural materials to create our winter pictures.
We worked together to plant our bulbs and continue to get fit and learn new skills with Liam, Aidy and Fiachra.

Well done to Aoibhinn, Caoimhe, Eabha, Cahal, Rose,Tiarnan and Thomas who took part in their first cross country race. Also to Tiarnan who competed in Karate championships in Dublin and well done to Clara who did well in skiing during her holiday.

We celebrated Catholic School’s Week and welcomed our grandparents. We also celebrated Valentine’s Day, St Patrick’s day and Mother’s day.

We had a visit from Allstate who gave us an internet safety talk and Angela from Strabane library read us stories for World Book day.

We also thank Miss Campbell for teaching the class during her teaching practice, the children really enjoyed her lessons.

Miss Una continues to teach us new songs and skills and we had fun skipping with Dan the skipping man.

Well done to all the pupils of the month who worked hard and were role models for the class.

A huge congratulations to all our P4s who celebrated their First Confession and to Fr Mc Devitt for the lovely service.

We said hello to Miss McCauley and baby Kyran and made our palms for Palm SUnday.

Finally just to say how proud I am of the whole class who reached their Accelerated Reading targets and deservedly received a cinema pass. Brilliant achievement everyone.
