World Book Day Celebrations
This week our school embraced the joy of reading as we celebrated World Book Day during the National Year of Reading. It was wonderful to see everyone taking part so enthusiastically—pupils arrived in their cosy pyjamas to help promote the importance of bedtime reading.
Throughout the week, each class enjoyed a wide variety of exciting literacy themed activities. Pupils took part in:
• Virtual author visits, hearing inspiring stories directly from the writers themselves
• Online quizzes that tested their book knowledge in a fun and engaging way
• World Book Day Just2Easy live lessons, connecting their learning through ICT
• Creative tasks using Adobe Express, designing their own book reviews and front covers
It truly was a fantastic week, filled with imagination, creativity, and a shared love of stories. Our pupils threw themselves into every activity, and their enthusiasm made the celebrations extra special.
Well done to everyone for making World Book Day such a memorable event!
